Battle of the ranks:
Both Colorado Mesa University and St. Edwards University enter the matchup 2-0 on the season, and both teams enter ranked in the top 25 in the nation. CMU comes in with a #16 ranking while SEU enters in the top 10 at #7.

CMU lost the matchup 2-1 on the road last season. A goal by
Roy Abergil in the 83
rd minute gave the Mavericks a chance, but they were unable to tie it back up in the final 7 minutes. Both teams finished with 8 shots a piece. The game got physical between the two as well, with 24 fouls being called against SEU and 16 against CMU.

Moshe Perez and forward Dylan Armstrong are players to watch in this one. Perez leads the Mavericks with 3 points (1 goal and 1 assist) and 15 shots on the season. Meanwhile, Armstrong for the HIlltoppers leads his team with 2 goals on 11 shots in their first two games.

Yellow cards aplenty:
Colorado Mesa University and St. Mary's have combined for 9 yellow cards in just two games apiece. While no CMU player has more than one, Tommy Fogarty-Cameron has two for the Rattlers.

Look for both teams to be playing physical in this one. To this point in the season, both teams are in double digits in the fouls category. The Rattlers currently sit at 15 while the Mavericks have tallied 22.

Both goalkeepers in this game have a 2-0 record to begin their 2017 campaigns. For St. Mary's, Mauricio Albo has totaled 10 saves over two games and allowed only 4 goals. For the Mavericks it is
