Moshe Perez came up big with his fourth goal of the season in overtime to give the Mavericks the 2-1 victory.
A goal in the 22nd minute by Danny Darelli gave the Griffins the 1-0 lead. A header by
Jacob Roldan off of a Perez cross in the 68th minute tied the game at 1-1. CMU outshot the Griffins 22-12 on the day. The team double Westminster in shots on goal as well 12-6.
Briley Guarneri was in net for the Mavericks. He finished the game with five saves and one goal allowed to get his seventh win of the year.
With the win CMU moved to 7-1-1 on the season and 3-1-1 in the conference. The Mavericks next matchup is Sunday against South Dakota Mines at Walker Field. Kick off is set for 12 p.m.
