Adams State Sept. 22:
Battle of the top two RMAC records:
Entering the game on Friday, Colorado Mesa University has the top overall record in the conference at 5-1. Adams State University comes in tied for second (with Colorado School of mines) with a 4-2 overall record.
Kevin Del Mazo:
Del Mazo had a career game on Sunday against No. 18 Regis University. He finished the game with two goals and one assist for a game high five points. The game jumped Del Mazo to the top of the list in goals (4), assists (4) and points (12) for the Mavericks.
Last season results:
The game against these two teams last season was played at Walker Field where the Mavericks came away with the 2-0 victory. Roy Abergil scored two goals for CMU in the second half. The Grizzlies finished the game with five yellow cards.
Career record vs. Grizzlies:
CMU has never lost to ASU since the two teams began playing each other back in 2009. The Mavericks are 11-0-2 overall against the Grizzlies. The last time CMU didn't beat ASU was the first of two matchups in 2011 where the teams tied 1-1.
Goalkeeper watch:
Briley Guarneri for the Mavericks enters Friday with a 5-1 record including four clean sheets in six games. He has 14 saves on the season. Austin Baumeister has started five of the six games for the Grizzlies. He has a 3-2 record with two shutouts and 13 saves.

Fort Lewis Sept. 24:
Maverick goals per game:
Following CMU's win on Sunday where they put up three goals, the Mavericks have increased their goals scored per game to nearly two (1.83) per game. Meanwhile, their defense is only allowing 0.5 goals per game through the team's first six contests.
Spread the wealth in Fort Lewis:
The Skyhawks have scored six goals this season, and all six have been scored by different players. The team doesn't have on player with more than one goal entering Friday's matchup.
Last season results:
In the matchup last season against these two teams, the Mavericks walked out of Durango with a 1-0 win. The win came late after an Abergil goal put CMU up 1-0 in the 81st minute. The teams went nearly shot for shot with each other, with the shot count totaling 16-14 in favor of Fort Lewis.
Career record vs. Skyhawks:
Fort Lewis has the commanding career record against CMU, winning 10 of the 16 matchups. However, the Skyhawks have not beat the Mavericks since 2012 following 11 straight games without a loss.
Players to watch:
Midfielders Benji Delgadillo and Ty Lang are the players to watch in this one. Delgadillo has scored two goals on the season for the Mavericks, but has increased his shots taken over the last two weeks. Lang leads the Skyhawks in points with 3.
