GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.— After having last weekend off, the Colorado Mesa University men's and women's swimming and diving teams will both return to action this Saturday at 1 p.m. when they travel to the United States Air Force Academy and the Cadet Natatorium.
Â
The Maverick men will face the host and Division I Falcons and Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference rival Colorado School of Mines. The 4-team women's field also includes another RMAC foe in the CSU-Pueblo ThunderWolves and scores will be kept in a dual-meet format against each opponent.
Â
A total of 13 events will be contested for each gender (swimming schedule listed below) and there will be three heats of each of the 50 and 100-yard events and two of the other swimming events. Both the 1 and 3-meter diving events will be contested as well.
Â
The Mavericks competed against Air Force in the season-opening Intermountain Shootout on Oct. 6-7 and will also dual the Mines Orediggers at home on Jan. 4-5. Saturday's competition will be the only dual for the CMU women against CSU-Pueblo although both the Orediggers and ThunderWolves are expected to compete in the A3 Invitational, which the Mavericks will host Nov. 30-Dec. 2.
