LAST WEEKEND
The No. 21 Colorado Mesa men's soccer claimed their second Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championship in three years after defeating No. 7 Regis 3-2 in a double overtime thriller on Friday afternoon at Regis Match Pitch. Two days after winning the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference regular season title, #21 Colorado Mesa settled for a 0-0 tie against the South Dakota Mines Hardrockers on Sunday afternoon in the regular season finale for both schools.
RMAC HONORS
Senior
Roy Abergil was named RMAC Player of the Year, along with First Team All-RMAC. Head coach
Todd Padgett was named RMAC Coach of the Year, while leading the Mavericks to their second conference championship within his three seasons as head coach.
Moshe Perez and
Slater Elkind were also named First Team All-RMAC.
Briley Guarneri was named Second Team All-RMAC.
Roberto Diaz and
James McGhee were honorable mention recipients.
ROY ABERGIL
Abergil has more goals than 92 NCAA Div. II schools including three RMAC Schools this season. He has 23 goals, 47 points, and one assist.
LEADING THE RMAC...
Briley Guarneri leads the RMAC in shutouts (9), goals against average (0.55), and shutouts per game (0.64).
Roy Abergil leads the RMAC in points (39), shots (58), shots per game (4.14) points per game (2.79), goals (19), goals per game (1.36), game winning goals (6).
Moshe Perez leads the RMAC in assists (10) and assists per game (0.667).

The Mavericks are 7-0-0 when leading at half time, 8-0-0 when scoring first and 5-1-1 when the opponent scores  first.
