WICHITA FALLS, Texas – Midwestern State's Christian Okeke found the right side of the net with 1:18 to play to push the Mustangs to a 1-0 win over Colorado Mesa in the NCAA Tournament Second Round men's soccer match.
 
The Mavericks only losses of the season came to the two region finalists as their only other loss came on September 11 to St. Edward's in Austin, Texas.

Moshe Perez tried to give his team the lead numerous times but couldn't find the back of the net. Perez finished with a season-high six shots with three coming on goal.
 
Colorado Mesa's best opportunity to score may have come in the 56
th minute. Kevin DelMazo took a shot that was saved by a defender before heading into the net.
 
The Mavericks outshot the Mustangs 14-8 in the match and forced Mustang goalkeeper Noah Fazekas to make six saves.
 
CMU leaned heavily on its starters in the game as only 13 players saw action on the field.
 
Colorado Mesa finishes the season with a record of 14-2-5.
