ST. GEORGE, Utah – The Colorado Mesa women's basketball team dropped a 71-57 decision to Simon Fraser as part of the Dixie State Tip-off Tournament in Burns Arena on Saturday (Nov. 12) evening.
Bryanna Adams led the Mavericks with 18 points. Adams started the game 1-for-12 from the field but finished the game making four of her final seven shots.
Colorado Mesa committed 18 turnovers that led to 23 points for Simon Fraser while the Clan committed 15 turnovers but the Mavericks could only turn those into nine points.
The Mavericks scored only six points in the second quarter and went 0-for-16 from the field. They finished the game shooting 29.3 percent (17-for-58) from the field.
Simon Fraser led for over 32 minutes in the game and led by as many as 18 with 42 second left in the game.
Erin Reichle added nine points and handed out seven assists.
Simon Fraser's Ellen Kett led all scorers with 20 points.
The Mavericks next game will be against Bethany College in the Holiday Inn & Suites – Airport Thanksgiving Classic on Friday Nov. 25.
