Roy Abergil scored a pair of goals and
James McGhee added another in a 3-0 win over the UCCS Mountain Lions on Friday evening at Walker Field in a match between Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference foes.
After playing to a scoreless first half, Colorado Mesa's
Roy Abergil scored his second goal of the season. Abergil headed in a cross from Zach Fronapfel for his 14
th career goal and gave the Mavericks a 1-0 lead.
Less than three minutes later, Abergil struck again. He scored his third goal of the season and second of the night on a free kick from 22 yards out to give Colorado Mesa a 2-0 lead.
For good measure,
James McGhee scored his second goal of the season in the 75
th minute.

The match did not count in the RMAC men's soccer standings because of the new structure within the conference. The Mavericks will play 10 RMAC matches throughout the next several weeks.
Colorado Mesa will play MSU Denver on Sunday at Walker Field at 2:30pm in a RMAC match that will count in the standings.
