GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – Top seeded Colorado Mesa fell to fourth seeded CSU-Pueblo 61-51 on Friday evening in the semifinals of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Shootout. The loss snaps the Mavericks 52-game home winning streak in Brownson Arena. 
The first half doomed the Mavericks as they shot 19.2 percent (5-of-26) from the floor and didn't break double-digits in scoring until the 4:31 mark of the half. 
Ashley Stevens ended the eight minute scoring drought with a three-point basket. 
CSU-Pueblo took a 31-17 lead into halftime. The total tied a season-low for points scored in a half. 
The Mavericks cut the lead to seven at two different point in the second-half but couldn't get any closer. 
Leanndra Gilbert led the Mavericks with a double-double, 16 points and 10 rebounds. All 16 of her points came and six of her 10 rebounds came in the second half of action. 
Shanna Halalilo led all scorers with 20 points as she connected on 6-of-12 from behind the three-point line. 
Ashley Piper paced the ThunderWolves with 16 points. 
The Mavericks last loss at home occurred in 2012 when they lost to nationally ranked MSU Denver, 78-40. 
Colorado Mesa will now await the word from the NCAA on whether or not they will advance into the NCAA Tournament. The selection show is set for 8pm on NCAA.com.
