COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. – Justin Hastings won a pair of events to lead the Colorado Mea University swimming and teams at the Air Force Dual Meet Invite Saturday (Oct. 24).

Hastings won the 200 back in 1:52.76 and the 100 fly in 50.61. He was second in the 100 backstroke in 50.57 and was a member of the 200 medley relay that placed fourth in a time of 1:34.23.

Sam Bryant collected three top-three finishes on the day. He was second in the 200 individual medley (1:59.10), third in the 500 free (4:47.53) and third in the 1,000 free (10:00.08).

Kyle Johnston placed second in the 200 fly (1:58.86), fourth in the 100 free (49.11) and fifth in the 500 free (5:03.97).

The men had success had in the 200 breast with Josh Bedford placing second (2:13.17), Ethan McNally third (2:13.85) and Ryan Gifford fourth (2:16.37).

Marissa Bradley finished fourth in the women's 200 free (2:00.01), and Josh Bedford was fourth (1:45.89) and Jake Germaud was fifth (1:48.72) in the men's.

Morgan Bean was third in the 200 fly (2:04.02), and Sami Lenzmeier tied for fourth in the 200 back (2:14.38).

Ethan McNally finished fourth in the 200 individual medley (2:00.66) and fifth in the 100 breast (1:01.09).

Jason Hicks was fifth in the 100 free in 49.76.

Josh Lyons finished fourth on the 3-meter board with a score of 193.75, and Ross Barringer was fifth with a score of 183.90.

The men's 400 free relay finished second (3:16.33) and the women's team finished fifth (3:47.18).

Clarion Diving Invite
A small number of CMU divers competed at the Clarion Diving Invite over the weekend (Oct. 24).

Sage D'Ambrosia posted scores of 228.98 on the three-meter and 435.38 on the one-meter.

Ryan Popp finished with scores of 248.85 on the three-meter and 434.78 on the one-meter.

Zac Craig finished with scores of 213.30 on the three-meter and 370.50 on the one-meter.

Abby Smith posted scores of 222.53 on the three-meter and 222.90 on the one-meter.

Noelle Melani tallied a score of 239.03 on the one-meter board.

The CMU men will compete at BYU Nov. 7.
