Box Score GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – Kevin Del Mazo's goal in the 49^th minute was all Colorado Mesa needed in a 1-0 win over the CSU-Pueblo ThunderWolves on Sunday afternoon at Walker Field in a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference men's soccer match.
 
The goal was Del Mazo's fourth of the season and came just outside the box and found the far post. It was assisted by Kevin Escobar, his fifth assist of the season.
 
The Mavericks had an opportunity to extend the lead but a failed penalty kick and superb goalkeeper play by CSU-Pueblo's Sam Haseltine kept the score as is.
 
Haseltine made 10 saves but Maverick freshman Briley Guarneri made just three saves and earned his seventh shutout of the season.
 
Roy Abergil took seven shots in the game with four of them coming on goal but couldn't find the back of the net.
 
The Mavericks will be on the road to take on UCCS and MSU Denver next weekend.
