Box Score GOLDEN, Colo. – Colorado Mesa dropped a 1-0 decision to 13^th ranked Colorado Mines on Sunday afternoon in a matchup of Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference men's soccer heavyweights at Stermole Soccer Stadium.
 
Oredigger Richard Garvey scored the lone goal of the match at the 52:31 mark. Garvey took a cross from Bryce Townsend for his eighth goal of the season.
 
The Mavericks played a man down for a majority of the match after Moshe Perez picked up a red card in the 18^th minute of the match.
 
Colorado Mesa ended up with three yellow cards and two red cards in the match. The Maverick bench was also whistled for a red card in the closing minutes of the match.
 
The loss snaps a five-match winning streak and a three-match shutout streak for Colorado Mesa.
 
The Mavericks have a quick turnaround this week as they will play at Westminster on Wednesday before returning home for a match on Sunday with CSU-Pueblo.
