GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. – Amanda Jennings of Colorado Mesa University rewrote the diving record book in a dual meet with Western State Saturday (Jan. 24).
Jennings broke both the pool and school records for 11 dives on the one-meter board with a score of 464.54. The Colorado Springs, Colo., native also broke the school and pool records for six-dives as well.
Abi Young won both the 1,000 (11:06.61) and 100 (56.07) free.
Hannah Mabile won the 100 individual medley (1:03.89) by out-touching teammate Abbie Porter who finished in 1:03.97. Porter would pick-up the win in the 500 free with a time of 5:27.66.
The women's 200 medley relay also won in a time of 1:52.38.
The women defeated Western State 136-82.
The men competed in a dual meet with the CMU club team.
Sage D'Ambrosia won the one-meter diving event with a score of 478.50. Ryan Popp was second (409.88).
Jeremy Pacheco won the 500 free (4:56.79), and Kyle Johnston earned the win in the 1,000 (10:19.16).
Riccardo Caldeira won the 100 individual medley (55.29) and was a member of the winning 200 medley relay (1:36.41).
Colorado Mesa will host the RMAC Swimming and Diving Championships Feb. 11-14.
