Joshua Bedford won the 100 breaststroke and finished second in the 200 breaststroke for Colorado Mesa University in a dual at the University of Utah Friday (Nov. 7).
Bedford finished the 100 breast in a time of 59.62 and the 200 in 2:16.46.
Justin Hastings enjoyed a pair of the second place finishes in the 100 back (52.25) and the 100 fly (52.10).
The Mavericks enjoyed success in the sprint freestyle events.
Peter Szekely finished second in the both the 50 (22.16) and the 100 (48.15), and Sky Hirsch was third in both (22.29, 49.16).
Justin Ortiz was fourth in the 50 (22.54), and Zack Edgar was fourth in the 100 (49.51).
Ryan Gifford was second in the 400 individual medley (4:23.30) and third in the 200 breast (2:18.74).
Ryan Popp finished second in both 3-meter (188.02) and 1-meter diving (229.50).
Andrew Scott and
Drake Mendelson finished second (2:01.62) and third (2:02.76).
In the 500 free,
Kyle Johnston was second (4:57.97) and
Jeremy Pacheco was third (5:06.00).
Riccardo Caldeira was third in the 100 fly (56.48).
The 400 free relay of
Peter Szekely, Sky Hirsch, Zack Edgar and
Justin Hastings placed second in 3:15.15.
Utah won the dual 179-101.
