WEEKEND RECAP
Colorado Mesa avenged an early season loss by taking down Midwestern State 1-0 on Sunday. Stevie Palma's goal in the first half proved to be the match winner and goalkeeper Micah Conrads picked up his fifth shutout of the season.

ALL-RMAC SELECTIONS
The Mavericks received six selections to the All-RMAC team that was released on Tuesday. Junior defender Blake Carlson was named the Defensive Player of the Year and was joined by Roy Abergil on the first team. Stan Schrock, Austin Jex, Micah Conrads and Nestor Escobar were all named to the second team.

DISHING IT OUT
Nestor Escobar became the all-time leader in assists at Colorado Mesa this season. His assist on Roy Abergil's goal against MSU Denver gave him 15 in his career, one more than his brother Marco. He has seven assists this season which ties him for the single-season mark with his brother as well.

KEYS
Colorado Mesa is 9-0 this season when they hold a lead at halftime. At one point this season, the Mavericks had struggled to score in the first half but now Colorado Mesa has 11 first half goals with many of them coming during the 12 match win streak.

FAMILIAR FOES
Unlike most NCAA Tournament matches, the Mavericks are familiar with the three other members of the Super Region. Colorado Mesa defeated St. Edward's this season in the opening match of the season, 2-0. They also hold a 1-0 mark against host Seattle Pacific and a 0-1 mark against Cal State Los Angeles in their brief history.

IN THE GAME
Seniors Alan Hernandez and Stevie Palma have played in a lot of matches in their CMU careers. Hernandez and Palma have played in the most games ever at 77. They eclipsed the old mark set by Marco Escobar from 2010-2013 and Mitchell Reid from 2007-10. Sean Foster sits just behind the duo with 74 matches played.

SHUTOUTS
The Mavericks have piled up 12 shutouts this season, split between Brandyn Bumpas and Micah Conrads in goal. The duo has helped the Mavericks acheive a top-ten ranking when it comes to shutting out opponents. 

NSCAA POLL
The Mavericks remain at No. 11 in the NSCAA poll, which was the final poll of the regular season. St. Edward's sits at No. 9 while Seattle Pacific checks in at No. 4 and their opponent Cal State LA is at No. 14.

TOURNAMENT TIME
Colorado Mesa is in their first-ever NCAA Tournament and have reached the Sweet Sixteen (only 16 teams remain in the tournament.) They won their first-ever NCAA match last weekend against Midwestern State.

2013 RMAC TOURNAMENT CHAMPS
The Mavericks won their first-ever RMAC Tournament last season, defeating the Regis Rangers 2-1 in double overtime. Oliver Querin booted in the game-winning goal in the second overtime period and was named to the all-tournament team.

NEXT UP
With a win, Colorado Mesa will advance to the Elite Eight and face the West Region winner which would be either Cal State Los Angeles or the host Seattle Pacific on Saturday. If Colorado Mesa wins that match as well, they would advance to the Final Four that takes place the first weekend in December in Louisville, Ky.
