Box Score GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. - The Colorado Mesa men's soccer team scored a season-high four goals in a 4-0 win over CSU-Pueblo Friday (Sept. 27) at Walker Stadium. 
Each of the four Maverick goals was scored by a different player. 
Nestor Escobar scored the first goal for CMU in the 38th minute with a shot from the center of the penalty box off a centering pass by Legofi Crawford. Marco Escobar also picked up an assist on the play. 
Nestor and Legofi would factor into the Mav's second goal as well, but this time it was Nestor assisting Legofi with a centering pass in the 73rd minute. 
CMU's third goal of the evening came just four minutes later when Skylar Roy tallied his first goal of the season off a corner kick. 
Alan Hernandez concluded the scoring for Mesa in the 83rd minute with his second goal of the season. Hernandez's first shot hit the crossbar, but he headed in the rebound for the unassisted goal. 
Freshman Brandyn Bumpass netted his first win and shutout for the Mavericks who improve to 3-3-1 overall and 1-1-1 in league play. The Denver, native made four saves. 
CMU finished with a strong 25-9 advantage in shots. 
Mesa will host Adams State Sunday (Sept. 29) in league play.
