The Colorado Mesa Men's Soccer team took on the Adams State Grizzlies on Sunday afternoon at Walker Field. The Mavericks rode a goal in each half to a 2-0 victory and improve to 4-2-1 on the season and 2-1-0 in the RMAC. Adams State fell to 1-5, 1-2 in RMAC matches.

Tim Hofer tallied his third goal of the season in the 17th minute of the match. Hofer headed in a cross from
Nestor Escobar and found the right side of the net. The goal gave the Mavericks a 1-0 lead heading into halftime.
In the 80th minute, the Mavericks picked up an insurance goal when Junior
Marco Escobar found the back of the net. Marco's second goal of the season came when he received a pass from
Alan Hernandez and scored just inside the left post. The goal gave the Mavericks the decisive 2-0 lead.
Micah Conrads improved his record to 4-2-1 on the season and picked up the shutout in net. He made two saves and faced four total shots.
The Mavericks will now embark on a five-match road swing that starts next Friday against Colorado Christian from Lakewood.
