Colorado Mesa men's swimming & diving team fell 131-112 to host Colorado School of Mines in dual action on Saturday afternoon in Golden. CMU won five events in the 13-event dual.
All American dive Brock Martin was a dual winner taking home titles in the 1-meter and 3-meter diving competition. Martin won the 1-meter with a score of 275.77 points and scored 295.12 points to clinch the 3-meter event.
Peter Szekely won the 50 free in 22.53 and was a member of the second place 400 free relay team. Szekely, Zach Andregg, Drake Mendelson and Rob Eisendrath finished second in a time of 3:18.01. Szekely placed second in the 100 free (49.21).
El hozzaz Mehdi won the 200 free in a time of 1:44.61. In the 500 free Tyler Kaslik clinched the victory in a time of 4:58.71. Kaslik was second in the 1000 free.
Rob Eisendrath, Brett Lowe, Sean Simpson and Josh Scheuermann placed second in the 200 medley in a time of 1:39.14. Lowe finished second in the 100 breaststroke and Simpson was second in the 100 fly.
CMU will be back in action on November 9 at Western State Colorado and travel to Adams State on November 10 in Alamosa. The Mavericks return home on November 17-18 as they host the Colorado Mesa Invitational at the El Pomar Natatorium.
