            The Colorado Mesa University Men's Soccer team played its final regular season match on Sunday afternoon in Golden against the Colorado Mines Orediggers. The Mavericks surrendered an early goal and the Orediggers were able to tack on an insurance goal late to win 2-0.

            The Mavericks needed just one win this weekend to clinch a home playoff match for the first time in the program's history but came away winless this weekend.

            Colorado Mesa's record dropped to 8-6-4 on the season and 6-5-3 in the RMAC while the Orediggers improved to 12-4-2 on the year and 9-3-2 in the RMAC.

            The Mavericks will enter the RMAC Tournament as the fifth seed and be on the road at UCCS at 7:30pm on Wednesday from Mountain Lion Field.
