Colorado Mesa men's swimming & diving team won eight of the 12 events in the Colorado Mesa dual versus Adams State University on Saturday afternoon at the El Pomar Natatorium on the campus of CMU. The Maverick won six swim events and All-American diver Brock Martin won the 1 and 3-meter event to clinch the dual. CMU defeated Adams State 125-47.
Drake Mendelson, Brett Lowe, Rob Eisendrath and Josh Scheuermann won the 400 medley relay in a time of 3:41.33. The Mavs foursome beat out teammates Eric Black, Kirk O'Connell, Tyler Kaslik and Jason Dahlen who finished second in a time of 3:43.68.
Eisendrath won the 50 free in 22.42, edging out teammate Lowe who touched the wall in a time of 22.46. Kaslik won the 200 free in a time of 1:47.53 and Garrett Koehler placed second in 1:48.43. Zach Andregg won the 100 free in 49.34.
CMU posted a 1-2 finish in the 1650 free as Cole Kimble won the event in a time of 18:00.03. Jeremy Pacheco placed second in 18:01.03.
Ryan Dake won the 400 IM in 4:37.98. Kyle Jones finished second in 4:39.54.
Brock Martin posted a final score of 250.35 in the 1-meter diving completion for the victory. Ryan Popp and Austin Farenholtz finished second and third respectively. Martin tallied a final score of 264.90 in the 3-meter dive.
CMU will travel to Colorado School of Mines on Saturday for a dual versus the Orediggers beginning at 1 p.m.
