            The Colorado Mesa University Men's Soccer team took on the Colorado School of Mines Orediggers on a soggy Friday night at Walker Field. The Orediggers scored an early goal and held onto a 1-0 win in a rain soaked second half. The Mavericks fall to 8-4-1 overall and 6-3-0 in the RMAC while the Orediggers improve to 8-3-2 and 5-2-2 in RMAC matches.

            The Orediggers scored the lone goal of the match in the 3rd minute of the match when RMAC Preseason Player of the Year Tesho Akindele scored his 15th goal of the season. Akindele dribbled through the defense and snuck one just inside the far post.

            Colorado Mesa put together a late surge of shots but none would find the back of the net.

            The Mavericks will take on the CSU-Pueblo ThunderWolves on Sunday afternoon at 12:00pm from Walker Field.
