CMU’s Martin and Stavrakas lead Mavs to Dual Wins

Final Results

Colorado Mesa men's Swimming & Diving team won six titles and posted dual victories over Colorado School of Mines and Morningside College in Golden, Colo.

Kent Stavrakas won the 50 free and 100 freestyle events. Stavrakas won the same events two weeks ago at the Rocky Mountain Invitational hosted by Colorado School of Mines. He won the 50 free in a time of 21.63 and the 100 free in 46.90.

CMU's All-American diver Brock Martin continues his winning ways with victories in the 1-meter and 3-meter dive events. Martin has posted back-to-back wins in the dive events with dual titles at the Rocky Mountain Invitational two weeks ago. Martin posted scores of 286.65 (1-meter) and 313.28 (3-meter).

 Austin Detra won the 1650 free in a time of 17:32.55. Teammate Cole Kimble was second in 17:40.98. Detra and Kimble finished second and third respectively in the 500 freestyle.

Rob Eisendrath, Kirk O'Connell, Stavrakas and Justin White won the 400 medley relay in 3:37.43.

Drew Vandermeer, Tyler Walton, Jason Dahlen and Peter Szekely placed second in the 400 free relay. Vandermeer and Szekely placed second and third respectively in the 100 freestyle.

Next up for the Mavericks is the Colorado Mesa University Invitational, November 19-20 at the El Pomar Natatorium.
