Mavs in Playoff Picture With 2-0 Win Over UCCS

Box Score         The Colorado Mesa University men's soccer team forced their way into the RMAC Playoff picture with a 2-0 win over the UCCS Mountain Lions on Friday night in Colorado Springs. With the win, CMU is sitting in the 6th and final playoff spot just one point ahead of CSU-Pueblo. The Mavericks are now 5-10-1 on the season and 5-7-0 in the RMAC, while UCCS dropped to 8-8-0 on the year and 6-6-0 in RMAC matches.
        Colorado Mesa scored both of its goals in the second half and both goals were scored by Senior Danny Molineaux. Molineaux tallied his first goal on the night at the 67:04 mark of the match. Danny dribbled the ball up the field from about 30 yards out and scored from 10 yards out.
        Molineaux's second goal of the match came a little over 15 minutes later as he took a pass from teammate Brandon Burton and scored from 15 yards out. The goals were Molineaux's team leading 5th and 6th of the season.
        Micah Conrads got the start in goal and earned his 2nd shutout of the season. Conrads made 6 saves in the win.
        Colorado Mesa will return home for their final two matches of the season. On Friday, the final playoff spot could be on the line as the Mavericks will take on the CSU-Pueblo ThunderWolves.
