Dan Linsacum was named Mesa State College's first Director of Strength and Conditioning on August 25, 2009. He graduated from MSC in 2002 with a degree in Exercise Science.
A native of Craig, Colorado, he was a multi-sport athlete excelling in football and wrestling and a scholar athlete. He attended MSC and was a member of the football team, including the 2000 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championship team. Linsacum earned all-conference honors at his middle linebacker position.
After graduation Linsacum moved to Denver where he spent 18 months working for 24 Hour Fitness. He worked for 2 ½ years with Forest Pharmaceuticals before deciding to pursue a career in the strength and conditioning field. The ability to train, condition and motivate athletes at the highest level is where Linsacum believes he makes his greatest impact.
Linsacum received his National Strength and Conditioning Association CSCS certification in April 2009. He returned to the grand valley in February where he started his own business, BEASTraining; Body, Efficiency Agility Strength Training.
Linsacum will work with over 450 athletes at MSC which includes 17 intercollegiate sports and five emerging sports.
