#9 Mines outlasts Mesa State

        The 9th Ranked Orediggers of Colorado Mines outlasted the Mesa State Mavericks, in front of 623 fans, by a score of 1-0. Mesa State put together a bunch of oppurtunities but could not find the back of the net.

        The lone goal of the game came in the 77th minute, when Oredigger Ted Decker found the net off a corner kick. The ball bounced around several times before Decker booted it in. It was Decker's first goal of the season.

        Mesa State goalkeeper Josh Tinaglia (Littleton, CO) fought off numerous chances Mines had to score. Tinaglia was credited with 11 total saves on 16 shots from Mines.

        The loss drops the Mavericks to 0-5-1 and 0-1-0 in RMAC play. Colorado Mines improves its record to 5-0-2 and 1-0-0 in RMAC competition.

        The Mavericks will be back in action on Sunday as they take on the Colorado Christian Cougars at 1:00pm at Walker Field.
