MSC men's swim team began its inaugural season with a victory over Adams State, 113-0 at the Colorado School of Mines 5-way meet Friday in Golden. The Mavs lost to Metro's club team 120-79, host Colorado Mines 185-34 and Division I CU-Boulder 178-44.

Dan MacDonald placed fourth in the 100 butterfly (55.26) and fifth in the 200 freestyle (1:52.17).

Travis Pahler finished sixth in the 100 breaststroke (1:07.08).

David Baker placed sixth in the 1000 free (11:38.84) and eighth in the 200 IM (2:16.14).

Jordan Cahill finished fourth in the 1 meter and 3 meter dive events.

The Mavericks 200 medley relay team of Cody Spencer, Alex Rogers, David Baker and Travis Pahler placed fourth (1:46.77).

MSC will compete in the DU Relays on Saturday.
