Eric Anderson, Mavs RMAC Preseason All-Conference selection, scored the games only goal in the first three minutes of action for a 1-0 shutout victory over Dixie State College.

            Anderson's goal came off a header on a corner kick from Sam Pinegar (2:26). MSC tallied 20 shots in the game, six from Anderson.

            The Rebels, who added men's soccer this season, recorded 13 shots, eight fouls, and two corner kicks.

            Goalkeeper Josh Tinaglia had eight saves on the day and recorded his first shutout of the season.

            MSC will travel to Billings, Montana this week for games against Montana State Billings September 5 and University of Mary on September 7.
