GRAND JUNCTION, COLO. – Colorado Mesa University Director of Athletics Tom Spicer accepted the resignations of head track and field coach Brian Beeman and assistant coach Michael Beeman Wednesday (March 29).

"We have identified many issues within the track and field program that were detrimental to the student-athlete," said Spicer. "The decision to make a change was made with the best interest of the student-athlete in mind."

The program will be entrusted for the remainder of the season to Matt Canterbury, Katrice Thomas and Yasin Gulgan.

The track and field teams will compete at CSU-Pueblo April 1-2.
